I went away with Botchit and Scarper and was absolutely amazed and astounded that the tour rep actually turned up. I was then shocked to find the tour was extremely well planned and organised. A reflection of the excellent pre- departure information supplied by this presumably normally very dodgy company. The pre-departure literature was also very well timed. I did not experience one single hitch except f orsome very loud snorring, about which I will be putting in an official complaint form. Actually I probably won't because the company have told me that the complaints form is 23 pages long and needs to be signed by a local dignatory who witnessed the problem at the time. Ahh well, I suppose they have to be thorough. My advice to anyone reading this is - always take a lawyer with you. We did and needed to refer our extremely petty (because we couldn't think of anything actually really wrong with the tour) issues over the holiday to him quite regularly. Even the weather was fine, which the company assure me is built in to the programme. Frankly I don't believe that for one moment though- I'm sure that Botchit and Scarper are not that clever. The company was superb. I understood from the tour leader that each person (each of us-even me- made me glow with pride and such a sense of dignity I had not felt for years) was individually selected for their charms, friendliness, sense of fun and adventure, willingness to survive on minimal sleep. How flattered I was until our tour leader gently broke the news to me on one walk where we had the fascinating opportunity to experience the Irish famine itself for ourselves, that I had only included in the tour due to a government equal opportunities requirement to allow one completely unsuitable and unattractive person to attend). I will be applying however to come on future trips- I am not put off! I recommend a couple of days free after a holiday with B and S in order to deep sleep-
